Department: 1 Discipline: Ecology
The fundamental science – ecology and the problems of environmental protection are studied in this course. The basic global environmental problems of humanity are discussed. The problems of the interaction of person with an environment at various stages of society development, the modern concepts of sustainable development are considered. The spatial power expansion of the person in biosphere, as well as the prospects of resource supply of humanity in the future are stated. Perspective directions of ecological researches are resulted.
The MEPhI’ teachers see the problem not only to give the students a necessary complex of knowledge of general and applied ecology, but as well as to educate the ecological outlook necessary for technical experts of XXI century because the role of ecological requirements at creation of new technologies and functioning of technical systems constantly grows.
The description of ecological aspects of considered problems are close connected with studying the basic specialized subjects of our university and are focused on training of experts for the nuclear industry.
Besides the solution of the problem of the general ecological education of the university graduates, it allows to raise and expand directly the level of training of experts for the nuclear industry and science.
